St Petersburg a City of Parks and Gardens of Peter the Great

DAY 1,Arrival in St.Petersburg.

Arrival in St.Petersburg. Transfer to the hotel. Check-in (after 14:00)

DAY 2, St.Petersburg.

Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 –Meeting with the guide in the hotel’s lobby and departure for the City tour.

The best chance to see all the main sights is to go on a tour with our professional guide. Today you will see the city, which has many poetic names: Venice of the North, Museum of Architecture in the open air, the City of Bridges. During the city tour you will visit the first park of the city – the famous Summer Gardens – a pet project of Peter the Great. You will see the Summer Gardens after restoration, looking exactly the same as it used to be during the reign of Peter the Great.

In the afternoon you will visit one of the oldest and largest museums – the State Hermitage.
18:00 – Back at the hotel.

DAY 3, St.Petersburg.

Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 – Meeting with the guide in the hotel’s lobby and departure to Peterhof.

Today you will visit picturesque Peterhof gardens. Harmonious, bright and spacious Upper Gardens were laid out according to the sketches by Peter the Great. The magnificent Lower Gardens were designed as a regular park and preserve all the features of their French originals.
Peterhof tour will be followed by a Russianlunch at a local restaurant.

16:00 – Back at the hotel

DAY 4, St.Petersburg.

Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 – Meeting with the guide in the hotel’s lobby and departure to the town of Kronstadt.

During the tour you will:
drive along St.Petersburg dam, which protects the city from floods,
visit Petrovsky park dating back to the 19th century and learn where its name comes from,
see one of the best monuments to Peter the Great – founder of Kronstadt,
see ceremonial sea gates of Kronstadt – Petrovsky Wharf – and majestic Sea Cathedral

In the afternoon – free time down town followed by the dinner with the Russian family.
20:00 – Back at the hotel

DAY 5, St.Petersburg.

Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 – Meeting with the guide in the hotel’s lobby and departure to the town of TsarskoyeSelo (Pushkin)

You will visit Catherine palace – a splendid example of Russian Baroque with the well-known unique Amber Room. Catherine park consists of two parts: regular Old Garden and English landscape park. They say that Old (Dutch) garden was founded by Peter the Great himself.

In the afternoon – free time for shopping.
18:00 – Back at the hotel

DAY 6,Check-out

Breakfast at the hotel.
Check-out before 12:00 (noon) and transfer to the Airport.
