Lapland Winter Adventures In Roavniemi

Day 01  Arrive Rovaniemi

Welcome to Lapland – the top of the world! Transfer from the airport to the safari office where you get your adventure kit. Once you’ve collected your gear you are taken to your hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Rovaniemi.

Day 02 Snowmobile Riding

Start your week with an unforgettable snowmobile safari in the wilderness. This trip a brilliant opportunity to take pictures of the breathtaking vistas. Enjoy a light lunch at an open fire. Overnight at the hotel in Rovaniemi. (B, L)

Day 03 Raunua Arctic Wildlife Park

Today visit in Ranua arctic wildlife park. The wildlife park is a large and natural arctic animal park. Here you can see polar bears, wolfs, wolverines, lynxes, owls and other interesting animals and birds. Visit also the local berry wine shop, local sweet shop and souvenir shop. Light lunch included. Often you see also wild reindeers on the way there! Overnight at the hotel in Rovaniemi. (B, L)

Day 04 Snowshoes, Ice Fishing And Northern Lights Safari

Today experience the wilderness on an easy snowshoe trek and ice fishing. Make ice holes with a special ice drill and fish trough these holes. Light lunch by open fire. Tonight it’s Aurora hunting (Northern lights) by car and on foot. Admire this fantastic natural show and experience some local traditional shamanism. The visibility depends on the conditions. Barbeque included. Good luck! Overnight at the hotel in Rovaniemi. (B, L, D)

Day 05  Reindeer Adventure

All day reindeer adventure today. Let’s go and meet the reindeer herders! These people are real wilderness survivors. The program can vary anyway depending on the weather conditions and month. Take your own Reindeer driving license! Light lunch during the day. In the afternoon, visit an ice restaurant. The Ice restaurant is available December – March only! Overnight at the hotel in Rovaniemi. (B, L)

Day 06 Husky Safari

Today make a half day trip to visit a Husky farm. First receive briefing about Husky driving and Husky training. Enjoy a 2 hours safari in the wilderness, you may drive yourself. True highlight of your tour! How about skiing? Take part in an easy skiing trip on good tracks. This is the best way to get around in this part of the world. Light lunch is offered during the day. Overnight at the hotel in Rovaniemi. (B, L)

 Day 07 Free Day Or Take An Optional Excursion

Today is free to catch up on shopping, just relax or take an Optional Tour You can opt to visit a real ice breaker ship, Sampo and have a swim in the frozen sea in special suits. Lunch on board. Other optionals include a visit to Santa Claus village or the Luosto amethyst mine. Overnight at the hotel in Rovaniemi. (B)

Day 08 Depart Rovaniemi

This morning check out from the hotel and transfer to Rovaniemi airport. Good bye snowy Lapland! (B)
